The interior designer is responsible for designing the inside of the home. They have to make sure that what they design functions perfectly for the client. At the end of the day the client’s have be able to live in the home the interior designer designs for them. The home can not just be a show piece.

How Does an Interior Designer Help Their Clients?

Sometimes when an interior designer is working with at pair of clients, lets say for example a husband and wife. They can have different ideas of what they want their house to look like. It’s the interior designer’s job to take the different ideas and make them into one cohesive design. Making everyone that lives in that home happy. To achieve this goal it is very important for the interior designer to meet with the clients on a regular basis. It’s important to the design team to have the clients provide their input throughout the design process. This way the clients know exactly what is going on with the construction of their home. Avoiding any surprises or mishaps at the end of the project because the clients were not aware of what was going on with the designing and building of their home.

How Does the Interior Designer Work with The Contractor?

When the the project is being built the interior designer makes sure they are in constant contact with the contractor. They are also on site visiting with the contractor and the sub-trades making sure everything is running smoothly and the plans are being followed properly. It’s important for the designer to be on the job site because they are than able to trouble shoot with the builder if their is a problem to arise with the design. The main goal for all creatives team members which includes, the interior designer, the builder and the architect is to create a home that client will want to live in for years to come.
